I didn't want it muted. I just wanted to turn the volume down a little in the main menu. If you do and then start the game the volume goes all the way back up, and you need to go into settings in the pause menu to turn it down again.

I'm liking the game but there is a small issue that makes it slightly unpleasant to play. When in the main menu you can adjust the audio volume (I usually turn it down because it's too loud), but when you click play the volume shoots back up to full.
